Neurofeedback provides real-time feedback on brainwave activity. During a neurofeedback training session, brainwave activity is measured by sensors that are painlessly placed on the scalp and then connected to computer software that detects, amplifies and records brainmwaves. When brainwave activity changes into an optimal pathway, the brain is rewarded by visual and auditory cues. Each training reinforces this healthier brainwave pattern until it develops into the default pathway in the brain.
